The final of Sophocles' three Theban dramas, Oedipus at Colonus (also known as Oedipus Coloneus; Ancient Greek: v, Oidipous epi Kolni), was written in Athens. It was written just before Sophocles passed away in 406 BC, and it was performed at the Festival of Dionysus in 401 BC by his grandson, also named Sophocles.
