The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was published for the first time in 1900. The narrative became a children's literature classic thanks to its modern fairy tale elements, such as its distinctly American setting, its charmingly levelheaded and forceful heroine, and its entertaining fantasy characters. The 1939 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, however, had become more well-known than L. Frank Baum's original novel by the late 20th century.
