Mansfield Park

Jane Austen's Mansfield Park was released in 1814 in three volumes. It is the most serious of Austen's novels in terms of tone and subject matter (religion and religious responsibility). Fanny Price, our heroine, is a humble and unappreciated cousin living under the care of the Bertram family in their country manor. Fanny's moral fortitude ultimately leads to her marriage to Edmund Bertram and full acceptance by the Bertram family.
