Bleak House

Charles Dickens' novel Bleak House, published serially in 1852–1853 and as a book in 1853, is regarded as some of the author's finest writing. The Jarndyce family, who wait in vain to receive money from a disputed wealth in the settlement of the incredibly protracted case of Jarndyce and Jarndyce, is the subject of Bleak House.
