Through the Looking-Glass

Lewis Carroll's work, ostensibly titled Through the Looking-Glass but actually titled Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, was published in December 1871, despite its 1872 publication date. Through the Looking-Glass is a sequel to Alice in Wonderland that follows Alice as she travels through a mirror into a surreal world dominated by chessboards and illogical behaviours. Similar to the original, this volume is packed with memorable sayings and poetry that have inspired writers ever since Carroll's day.
