The Turn of the Screw

Henry James's The Turn of the Screw was published as a serial in Collier's Weekly from January 27 to April 16, 1898. The Two Magics, published by Macmillan in New York and Heinemann in London in October 1898, is a compilation of these stories. A governess caring for two children at a rural manor becomes persuaded that the property is haunted throughout the tale.
