Oliver Twist

Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist, titled in full Oliver Twist; or, The Parish Boy s Progress, was serialised under the pen name "Boz" from 1837 to 1839 in Bentley s Miscellany and published in three volumes the following year. This was the first of the author s works to show the bleak underbelly of London and to demonstrate his theory that low income breeds criminality.
