KReader, the first runner-up of the She Loves Tech local competition in 2023, is a subscription-based digital reading framework tailored for local languages such as Sinhala and Tamil in Sri Lanka. It offers a diverse range of content, including eBooks, human-narrated audiobooks, and utilizes AI-powered speech synthesis technology developed in-house. This technology employs a generative AI model to batch-process audiobooks, ensuring natural-sounding narration infused with emotions.
